Michelle Malone is a fierce, genre-blending songwriter whose career is built on independence and artistic conviction. Malone is known for her emotionally direct writing, powerful vocals, and songs that balance grit with vulnerability. In the fabric of Georgia Music, she’s an underground legend who influenced John Mayer, Jennifer Nettles and others. She has been called "a satellite member" of the Indigo Girls by Amy Ray, having toured with them off and on for decades. She has also performed with such artists as Gregg Allman, Chuck Leavell (Rolling Stones), Jackson Browne, Johnny Winter, the Atlanta Symphony, the Atlanta Pops Orchestra, (to name a few), and forged a career that's taken the award-winning songwriter around the world on her own solo career now celebrating 40 years as of 2026. Guitar World said Malone is “equal parts badass guitar slinger and sweet songstress, with masterful lyrical introspection,” with nail-on-the-head accuracy.
